Collaborating with local communities is not only important, it’s essential for successful, lasting conservation outcomes.

The Corredor Azul (The Blue Corridor) aims to improve environmental conditions and strengthen territorial management along the northeastern slopes of the Turrialba volcano, extending southeast to the Pacuare river, through initiatives in environmental education, citizen science and ecological restoration.

Given continuity to an environmental education program for local children.

Outreach through workshops and presentations for local landowners.

Native nursery

Established a native tree nursery to supply our habitat restoration goals.
