Avid Costa Rican naturalist and conservationist. For years, Jose has explored Costa Rica's lush habitats with a special interest in learning about the ecology and natural history of birds.
His current work is focused on leading the processes of establishing and managing Cerúlea Nature Reserve, as well as heading Aves y Plantas Costa Rica, a project dedicated to documenting interactions between birds and native plants, promoting education, environmental restoration, and the sustainable use of local flora.
He also shares his passion for nature throughout the environmental education program at the Corredor Azul, as well as contributing with its habitat improvement and reforestation activities.
In addition, he is an experienced natural history and birding guide, leading expeditions in Central and South America for Eagle-Eye Tours, Sunrise Birding, Birds Wildlife & Nature, National Geographic Expeditions and Flyway Tours.
Jose Pablo is a founding member and current president of the Cerúlea Environmental Association.
